What truly lies hidden in the legend of Jurõjin? Some tales tell of a wise man, who wanders among mortals. Others of a man who’s never been human at all. He is said to carry a truth, desperately searched for since the dawn of existence - the answer to the fate of all who live. This truth, inscribed on an ancient scroll, is bound to the staff which Jurõjin carries.
Those who claim to have met him tell conflicting stories. Some say he appears at dawn, just as the day draws its last breath, but the night yet its first. Others say he only shows himself to those who unknowingly seek him. All who meet him ponder the same thing: how much time remains, do I have many days or just a few? When they return, however, they never speak of days nor of destiny. No… They speak of a question, a reflection which has left them with more questions than answers.
Because Jurõjin offers no answers; he instead invites you to listen. To think. To realize time never was yours to count, only yours to fill. And if you choose to worry about the day that’s named your last, have you not then wasted this one?
So what truly lies hidden in the legend of Jurõjin? For some, nothing of importance. For others, the most vital truth of all: The answer to the question of time. Because if we do not exist fully, in this particular moment, have we then truly lived? And if life remains unlived, can it ever be called precious?
